Paleo Mediterranean diet
The same foods our hunter-gather ancestors ate: fruits, vegetables, meats, seafood, and nuts. Pescatarian (sometimes spelled "pescetarian" with an e) is a word
sometimes used to describe those who abstain from eating all meat and
animal flesh with the exception of fish. That is, a pescatarian or
someone who follows a pescetarian way of eating maintains a vegetarian diet with the addition of fish and other sea foods such as shrimp, clams, crabs, and lobster.
A vegetarian diet focuses on plants for food. These include fruits, vegetables, dried
beans and peas, grains, seeds and nuts. There is no single type of vegetarian diet.
Instead, vegetarian eating patterns usually fall into the following groups:
The vegan diet, which excludes all meat and animal products
The lacto vegetarian diet, which includes plant foods plus dairy products
The lacto-ovo vegetarian diet, which includes both dairy products and eggs
People who follow vegetarian diets can get all the nutrients they need. However, they
must be careful to eat a wide variety of foods to meet their nutritional needs. Nutrients
vegetarians may need to focus on include protein, iron,
calcium, zinc and vitamin B12.
Veganism is a type of vegetarian diet that excludes meat, eggs, dairy products
and all other animal-derived ingredients. Many vegans also do not eat
foods that are processed using animal products, such as refined white
sugar and some wines. Haga clic aquí para editar el texto
